White Man Staying Home With Kids is a Stay at Home Dad- Black Stay at Home Dad is a Bum Ass Nigga

Seriously though, is there a difference between white men that stay at home with their kids and black men that stay at home with their kids? This is the question I really want to know. Recently, my brother in law, Lydell posted this statement on Facebook and it blew me away, because honestly, he was kind of right. Let me explain in a minute why I feel as though he is.

First of all, TV reality shows like Househusbands of Hollywood, which was a Fox Reality Channel series that documents the lives of five househusbands and their wives who provide the primary household income, while they tend to their homes, and in some cases, their children) and the Burnett Family (A self-employed, stay-at-home dad, Michael, is struggling to find a balance between work and family. Mom Joanne is a schoolteacher who comes home every afternoon to four needy toddlers who want all of her attention and a household full of chores that Dad has deemed “woman’s work.”), these shows obviously portrayed the stay at home dad image, but are they kind of closed minded?

Most women wouldn’t deal with their man staying at home with the kids, for the fact that most women wouldn’t expect him to be doing anything. Yea, men are suppose to be the bread winner, but if they’re the bread winner and staying at home, it’s a problem? Why is that?

The only conclusion I can come up with is because women want to be the one staying home and not have to go out and work all the time. I mean, men that are into real estate for example like Lydell, he’s always home, but he ‘s always working to 24/7, and he takes care of his 2 boys. I tend to see women call their children’s father a no good dad, because women always want to be catered to or always want what they want done at the moment they say “do it”.

It’s natural for us, and when a couple is not together, but have kids, Oh hell break loose, there’s drama, because she still wants to be in charge. What she says goes, no butts about it. And when the father tries to compromise, because most men are simple, we women make it complicated and just try to use the kids at a way of getting back at them. I mean, even if it’s not to get back at them, we sometimes say things we don’t mean, because we’re mad. Am I right or wrong ladies?

Truth of the matter is, men are suppose to go out and work, not stay home and work. Women are suppose to stay home and take care of home. Now, what about the whit dads that stay at home? I can’t say why they would be considered a stay at home dad and not a bum, but probably because most stay at home dads got money already and can do that.

Most stay at home dads does everything from cleaning to changing diapers and shopping, and one give away, they listen to their woman on everything, even if they disagree, they will atleast attempt to do what she says.

If your children father is not taking care of the kids ya’ll created and don’t have a job and is out doing whatever whenever with friends, that’s bum. But if he’s doing for his kids, I dont care if it’s changing diapers or giving money once a month, because he doesn’t have it like that, he is not a bum.
